Whiteside Park spans 18.0 acres in the heart of midtown Tulsa, providing ample space for outdoor activities and relaxation.

The park features a variety of recreational facilities including tennis courts, baseball fields, and soccer fields, catering to a variety of sporting interests. Pickleball courts are also available, with regular games held on Mondays and Wednesdays. A swimming pool offers a refreshing option during the warmer months, particularly popular for families with young children.

Hope Playground

One of the park's key features is its recently added Hope Playground, which opened in 2023. This fully accessible playground is designed to accommodate children of all ages and abilities, allowing them to play together regardless of mobility limitations.

The playground includes special features such as bright colors for spatial orientation, a blue path on green turf for easy navigation, and sturdy structures that allow caregivers to climb alongside their children. The soft turf ground with bumps and hills provides both safety and added play value for children.

Various unique play elements include a merry-go-round and other wheelchair-accessible equipment specifically designed so that children with disabilities can enjoy the playground alongside their peers. The thoughtful design has made this one of Tulsa's most inclusive recreational spaces.

Water Features

In addition to the swimming pool, Whiteside Park offers a splash pad that provides water play fun for children of all ages. This area is particularly popular during hot summer days and offers a more casual water play option compared to the pool.

Whiteside Park is home to a community center that offers various indoor facilities. The center features a full-size gymnasium, arts and crafts rooms, multipurpose rooms, and a concession-style kitchen.

These indoor spaces host a range of programs and activities throughout the year, including fitness classes, sports leagues, and educational programs for all age groups. The center also provides accessible restrooms with an external entrance for park visitors.
