Fieldstone Park

Fieldstone Park is a newly developed 5-acre neighborhood park located in the Petrosa subdivision of northeast Bend, Oregon. Completed in 2024, the park serves the growing community in this urban growth boundary expansion area.

The park's name pays homage to the site's agricultural history. Previously used for farming hay and raising black angus cattle, the land required clearing of rocks for cultivation. Farmers would pile these rocks in central locations, creating fieldstone piles. The park's name references these naturally occurring stones found at or near the earth's surface.

Fieldstone Park offers a blend of recreational amenities and natural spaces. It features open lawn areas for various activities, picnic facilities for gatherings, and a shaded playground for children. The park also incorporates soft surface trails that wind through preserved natural areas, allowing visitors to experience the local ecosystem.

One of the park's unique features is a bike skills area, catering to cycling enthusiasts and promoting active transportation in the neighborhood. The park's design takes advantage of its location, offering visitors beautiful mountain views that showcase the scenic landscape of Central Oregon.

Connectivity is a key aspect of Fieldstone Park's design. A trail from the park will eventually connect to the North Unit Canal Trail, which, when completed, will span approximately 2.5 miles from Petrosa to Boyd Acres Road near US Highway 97. This connection will link Fieldstone Park to other recreational areas in Bend, including Pine Nursery Park and Canal Row Park, enhancing the city's overall trail network.
