Hixon Park welcomes visitors daily from 5AM to 10PM. If you're driving, you'll discover four-hour street parking along the McKay district every day except Sunday. For locals and those working nearby, a $25 annual parking permit offers the convenience of all-day parking - definitely worth considering if you plan to make this spot a regular retreat.

Just a heads-up: this park is really designed as a tranquil space for adults rather than a playground for kids. You won't find swing sets or slides here, but you will discover a great setting for some quiet reflection, meditation, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment outdoors.

A Bit of History

The Bend Park & Recreation District acquired this quiet place in 1998 from Brooks Resources. The vision behind Hixon Park came from John Simpson, who not only named this urban square but also incorporated the distinctive Seasons Clock that now is its signature feature.

Its convenient location on SW Crowell Way makes it an accessible escape for nearby residents and workers - a little pocket of calm amid the bustle of daily life in Bend.
