More Than a Playground

The "all children's playground" here offers more than the typical swing-and-slide setup. Funded by the Rotary Clubs of Bend as part of their centennial celebration, this thoughtfully designed play space is divided into three distinct areas catering to different ages and abilities.

You'll notice how accessible everything is - each section offers unique equipment from slides and swings to climbing walls, all surrounded by soft landing surfaces to cushion inevitable tumbles. The inclusive design accommodates children of different ability levels.

A Piece of Natural Oregon

About 40% of Larkspur Park has been intentionally left natural - a little sanctuary of Central Oregon's native landscape right in the middle of Bend. The preserved areas showcase mature juniper trees, alongside alpine currant and rabbit brush that have called this region home for centuries.

Take a stroll along the peaceful paths winding through these sections and you might spot some quail scurrying about or catch glimpses of the small mammals that inhabit this micro-ecosystem. It's a glimpse of what Bend's natural landscape looked like in its more undeveloped state.
