A Slice of South Side History

Named after John Ormsby, an Irish immigrant who received this land for his service before the Revolutionary War kicked off, this park has been the heart and soul of the South Side community for generations.

Many neighborhood memories have been made here, from summer splashes to pickup games and community gatherings.

Finding Your Way There

Tucked near the intersection of East Carson Street and South 22nd Street, Ormsby Park sits comfortably within Pittsburgh's South Side neighborhood. You'll have no trouble finding it if you're a local, and it's worth discovering if you're not.

What's Here for You

The park offers something for just about everyone. The outdoor swimming pool is definitely a highlight, opening its gates during those steamy Pittsburgh summer months when a cool dip feels like pure magic.

Kids have their own domain with playground equipment that, while showing some signs of being well-loved over the years, remains safe and well-maintained.

Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the basketball courts and baseball diamond for some friendly competition. There's also a deck hockey rink available, however you'll need to grab a key for access.

The park balances active recreational spaces with quieter green areas, offering options whether you're looking to break a sweat or just enjoy some peaceful outdoor time.
