Despite its compact size, this neighborhood park offers a variety of recreational options. Just be aware that it's street parking only, which can get a bit tight during those sunny weekend afternoons when everyone has the same great idea to visit.

Kid Paradise

The recently renovated playground is well-designed as a creative play space that works for kids of all ages - from toddlers to pre-teens.

The playground features zipline swings with versions for both kids and adults, allowing parents to join in the fun too. The collection of slides and swings includes some specialty options that are less common in typical playgrounds.

They've also incorporated some pretty cool musical instruments and electronic games into the mix, and thoughtfully designed equipment to be inclusive for children with different abilities. When the Tennessee sun gets too intense, you can seek refuge under the umbrellas in the partially fenced playground area.

Get Active

If you're looking to work on your backhand, the park's tennis courts offer a great spot for a friendly match or solo practice. Beyond that, there are plenty of open grassy areas that work beautifully for impromptu picnics, tossing a frisbee, or just sprawling out with a good book.

The picnic tables come with thermoplastic coating and covered areas to keep you comfortable while you snack. There's even a mini amphitheater in the picnic area - a fantastic little spot for small gatherings or watching impromptu performances.

Bring Your Furry Friends

While there's no official dog park here, Riverview is definitely dog-friendly. The open areas provide plenty of space for your leashed four-legged companions to explore and socialize. You'll usually spot locals walking their dogs, making this something of an unofficial canine social club for the neighborhood.

No need to cut your park day short due to nature's call - the park features clean, accessible restrooms on either side of the center pavilion. The whole park is well-maintained and designed with accessibility in mind, so everyone can enjoy what Riverview has to offer.
