Beth Ann Booker Park, formerly known as Old North Knoxville Park, is located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The park serves as a local recreational area for the Old North Knoxville neighborhood.
The park was renamed in honor of Beth Ann Handshy-Booker, a beloved longtime resident of the neighborhood who passed away on January 23, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Beth spent more than 20 years in Old North Knoxville and was known for her contributions to the community.
Beth Ann Booker Park provides a safe, off-street area for children to play. The park's creation transformed what was once overgrown and stagnant land into a vibrant community space featuring a playground.
The park is situated in the historic Old North Knoxville neighborhood, which is known for its walkability and pockets of green spaces.
