Island Home Park

Island Home Park is a neighborhood park located in the Island Home community of South Knoxville, Tennessee. The park sits along the Tennessee River and covers approximately 3 acres. It features a paved walking path that loops around the park's perimeter, offering scenic views of the river.

The park contains a playground area with equipment for children as well as a tennis court that can also be used for pickleball. There is an open grassy field suitable for informal sports and activities. Several picnic tables and benches are scattered throughout the park, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the riverside setting.

Island Home Park connects to the Will Skelton Greenway, a paved trail that runs along the Tennessee River and links to Ijams Nature Center. This provides opportunities for extended walks or bike rides beyond the park boundaries. The park's riverside location also makes it a good spot for fishing or launching small non-motorized watercraft like kayaks or canoes, though there is no formal boat ramp.

The park is maintained by the City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation Department. It serves as a neighborhood gathering place and recreational area for residents of the Island Home community as well as visitors from other parts of Knoxville.
