McKnight Park is an 81-acre community park located in the northern area of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The park offers a variety of recreational facilities and outdoor spaces for visitors to enjoy.
The park features multiple multipurpose fields that are primarily used for youth football, lacrosse, youth soccer, adult soccer, and disc golf. These fields provide ample space for organized sports and casual play. Fields 1, 2, and 3 are equipped with lighting, allowing for extended use into the evening hours. These lighted fields can accommodate an 80-yard modified football field or a regulation lacrosse field.
McKnight Park is home to several sports facilities, including Sports*Com, an indoor/outdoor multipurpose sports and recreational complex. Sports*Com contains a gymnasium, a 1/16 mile track, an aerobics area, fitness equipment, a party room, a meeting room, and a 25-yard indoor pool. The park also features Star*Plex, a five-field youth/adult baseball/softball complex with concessions and restroom facilities.
For younger visitors, the park includes a playground area. Additionally, there is a sheltered picnic area where families and groups can gather for outdoor meals and social activities.
The park is also notable for being the site of Tennessee's first Miracle League baseball field and inclusive playground. This specialized area is designed to accommodate children with special needs, featuring equipment and surfaces that enhance accessibility and safety for all users.
