Nestled at 1115 Hunt Street in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Roger's Park spans a cozy 7.5 acres of public green space. This local recreational spot offers a variety of facilities that cater to both sports enthusiasts and those just looking to unwind in nature.

Just a stone's throw from Middle Tennessee State University, this well-kept park has earned its reputation as a "secluded place" among locals. With typically fewer visitors than other parks in the area, it's an excellent escape for anyone seeking a peaceful outdoor experience without the crowds.

Sports Facilities

If you're looking to get active, Roger's Park offers several options. The park features two public tennis courts and two full-length basketball courts for visitors to enjoy.

Soccer fans haven't been forgotten either - there's a nice soccer field complete with full-sized goals where you can practice your footwork or organize a friendly match.

Walking and Recreation

A paved walking path winds through the park, creating a great loop for your morning jog or afternoon stroll. The smooth surface is also great for little ones still mastering their roller skating skills.

Beyond the path, open grassy areas provide plenty of space to toss a frisbee, have a picnic, or let your four-legged friend burn off some energy - making it a favorite spot for local dog owners.

Pavilions and Gatherings

Need a spot for your next get-together? The park features two covered pavilions that work well for group gatherings. Pavilion 1 can seat around 80 people, while the cozier Pavilion 2 accommodates about 45.

From April through October, you can rent these pavilions along with the park's restroom facilities - well-suited for birthday celebrations, family reunions, or any occasion worth commemorating outdoors.

Family Amenities

Kids will enjoy the playground area with swings and jungle gym equipment. While not enormous, the playground is just right for younger children to burn off energy while you relax nearby.

Planning to make a day of it? The park offers 13 tables and 4 grills for picnics and cookouts. Note that for certain pavilion rentals, you might need to bring your own grill.

Wooden benches scattered within the grounds provide quiet spots to sit and take in the peaceful surroundings.

Accessibility and Facilities

Roger's Park makes efforts to be accessible to all visitors with sidewalk ramps and designated handicap parking spaces.

Restroom facilities are attached to the pavilion, but they may not always be open outside of scheduled events.

With 58 parking spaces (including 4 handicap-accessible spots), there's usually plenty of room for everyone. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood off Bradyville Road, the park might not immediately catch your eye, but many locals appreciate its somewhat hidden location.
