About Hartman Park in Nashville

Hartman Park Regional Center is a public recreation facility in Nashville, Tennessee. The park and community center serve the Bordeaux neighborhood in North Nashville.

Originally opened in 1964, Hartman Park spans 54 acres and was named after Richard W. Hartman, a community leader who worked with local youth. The park underwent renovations in 2010 and 2022 to modernize its facilities.

The Hartman Park Regional Community Center reopened in November 2022 after extensive renovations. The center offers a variety of options for exercise, recreation, sports, and educational programs for children, adults, and seniors. Some of the recent upgrades included new flooring throughout the building, repainted interior areas, new LED lighting in activity spaces, and updated pool facilities.

The park grounds feature outdoor amenities like a playground, baseball field, basketball court, tennis court, and a paved walking/jogging path. A swimming pool was added to the park in 1998. The Whites Creek Greenway, a short multi-use trail, runs along the southern edge of the park.

Hartman Park serves as a hub for community activities in the Bordeaux area. It hosts after-school programs, senior activities, and is home to the Metro Parks' Dolphins Swim Team. The park aims to provide recreational and fitness opportunities for residents of all ages in North Nashville.
