About the Location
A Tribute to Service
Brian Bachmann Community Park spans 42.32 acres and stands as College Station's first community park primarily dedicated to athletics. The park honors Constable Brian Bachmann, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty in 2012. He was deeply involved with College Station Little League as a coach, safety officer, and board member.
Athletic Facilities
The park's centerpiece consists of six lighted baseball fields. Four fields feature 200-foot fences, while two have 300-foot fences, accommodating both little league and senior league play.
Beyond baseball, the park offers facilities for various sports. Both adult and youth soccer fields ensure players of all ages have space to practice and compete. The tennis and basketball courts are lighted, allowing for extended evening play.
Recreational Amenities
Bachmann Park provides numerous options for casual recreation and family outings. Visitors can enjoy a playground for children, horseshoe pits for traditional gaming, and a sand volleyball court for beach-style play.
A spacious pavilion with a capacity of 300 people serves as a venue for community gatherings and events, complete with a full kitchen and additional amenities.
Ongoing Improvements
The park is currently undergoing renovations following voter approval in a November 2022 bond election. These enhancements include improvements to concession and restroom buildings, as well as upgrades to dugouts and bleachers, all designed to improve comfort and functionality for players and spectators alike.
