Kids will love the large playground, which helps make Hazel Bazemore a truly family-friendly destination. Picnic areas with tables are scattered around the grounds - try to snag one along the water for especially pleasant outdoor dining.

The restrooms are well-maintained with handicap accessibility, although they're somewhat limited in number, particularly near the riverside areas. Looking ahead, plans for the park include adding a dog park and renovating the hawk watching posts. The upcoming dog park will be handicap accessible and feature thoughtful amenities like a sandbox, water fountains, picnic tables, benches, and even a pond where active dogs can splash around.
