About the Location
History and Development
Lindsley Park is an 8-acre neighborhood park established in 1947. This charming green space is nestled on the north side of the Hollywood/Santa Monica neighborhood, adjacent to the Santa Fe Hike and Bike Trail.
In 1994, the Hollywood/Santa Monica Neighborhood Association initiated the Lindsley Park Capital Improvements Campaign, which led to the installation of new playground equipment, construction of a pavilion, and various landscaping enhancements.
Recent Improvements
In October 2021, a second phase of improvements was completed at Lindsley Park. These enhancements introduced all-age accessible playground equipment, new benches, improved drainage, ramps, and park perimeter lighting.
The park received a new pavilion in 1998, designed by Brown Reynolds Watford Architects. This structure was thoughtfully created to incorporate forms, details, and materials prevalent in the surrounding neighborhood, which consists of 1920s brick and stone-veneered Tudor cottages.
