About the Location
History and Origins
Established in 1950, this 15.4-acre green space was originally gifted by developers J.S. Foster & Sons. The park has evolved over the years to include various amenities and facilities.
In 1960, it was one of four parks in Fort Worth to receive a swimming pool, though this feature is no longer present. The park underwent playground renovations in 2006-2007 as part of the city's Small Capital Projects initiative.

Kellis Park sits on gently rolling terrain, providing a pleasant natural setting within an urban environment. The park features wide open grassy areas, making it suitable for casual sports and picnicking.
