About the Location
Natural Wilderness
Tucked away in the eastern part of Garland, Texas, Tuckerville Park sprawls across 62.5 acres of undeveloped land just off Highway 66. Right now, it's essentially a hidden woodland haven - a slice of nature preserved amid the urban landscape.
Tomorrow's Community Space
While today you'll discover mostly trees and natural growth, the city of Garland has plans for this green space. Tuckerville isn't staying undeveloped for long - it's set to transform into a recreational area for the community.
Coming Soon: Bob Day Tennis Complex
The first major development breaking ground at Tuckerville will be the Bob Day Tennis Complex. The facility will include a 3,700-square-foot pro shop with clubhouse and 12 tennis courts. The initial phase includes all the necessary infrastructure - entrance roads, parking, utilities, and even a detention pond/bioswale that's being designed with future expansions in mind.
Beyond Tennis
The vision for the tennis complex extends well beyond just playing the sport. Plans include a spectator pavilion where you can watch matches in comfort, dedicated food truck bays for refreshments, and peaceful picnic areas where you can relax between games. The design thoughtfully incorporates connections to sidewalks and trails, making the park accessible for everyone.
As Tuckerville Park develops, the plan is to preserve elements of its natural woodland character while adding recreational facilities for Garland residents.
