Tucked in the heart of downtown Houston, Market Square Park stands on what was once the city's original city hall and market square dating back to 1836. Lauren's Garden offers a moment of pause in the bustling downtown. Dedicated to Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas and other victims of the September 11 attacks, this thoughtful memorial features a soothing waterfall and native plants that create a peaceful sanctuary for reflection.

The careful landscaping around the park - seasonal flowers, refreshing fountains, and welcome shade - makes this small urban space feel like a true oasis.

Artistic Touches

Art lovers will appreciate the various installations dotting the grounds, including the impressive "Points of View" - a 25-foot-tall sculpture by Texas artist James Surls that definitely makes you stop and look up.
