This small neighborhood park sits at the intersection of Maroneal, Morningside, and Kelvin streets in Houston's Old Braeswood community, serving as a gathering spot for locals. Fair warning though - parking is pretty limited here.

Kids particularly love the playground equipment with its exciting slides - it's sized just right for the little ones in your life. One of the park's most endearing quirks? The collection of community toys that neighborhood families have contributed over time. You'll spot toy cars, balance bikes, and rocking horses scattered around. Sure, some might be showing their age with a crack here or there, but they add a homey, lived-in charm that you don't find at more commercial playgrounds.

What to Expect

When hunger strikes, there's a picnic area with a table and benches, plus extra seating surrounding the playground for parents keeping watch. Dog owners will appreciate that four-legged friends are welcome, with a convenient waste station provided (please use it!).

Note that there are no public restrooms here, so plan accordingly. The playground setup is best suited for younger children between two and seven years old. Sometimes older kids claim the open area for impromptu baseball games, so keep an eye on toddlers if a game breaks out.
