Park Overview

First Colony Park is a 22-acre public recreation area located in Sugar Land, Texas. The park serves as a significant community space, particularly for sports enthusiasts and families seeking outdoor activities.

Baseball Facilities

The park's most prominent feature is its baseball facilities. It boasts nine baseball fields, with seven of them equipped with lighting for evening games and practices. The remaining two fields are unlighted.

To complement these fields, the park also includes several batting cages, allowing players to hone their skills.

Recreation Amenities

Beyond baseball, First Colony Park offers amenities for general recreation and family outings. A universally accessible playground is available, ensuring that children of all abilities can enjoy playtime.

The park also features a picnic pavilion with tables, providing a space for gatherings and outdoor meals. Grills are available for those who wish to cook outdoors.

Visitor Services

For visitor convenience, the park includes two concession stands, drinking fountains, and restroom facilities. Benches are scattered throughout the park, offering places to rest and observe activities.

The park's large parking lot, with 368 spaces, ensures ample parking for visitors, even during busy times or events.

Conference Center

The park also houses the Clyde and Nancy Jacks Conference Center, a 3,000 square foot facility that can be reserved for private functions. This center can accommodate up to 125 guests, making it suitable for various community events and gatherings.
