Part of Alexandria's linear park system along the water, Rivergate City Park offers 2.84 acres of waterfront tranquility in North Old Town Alexandria. While the Rivergate Owners Association holds ownership of most of the park, they've granted permanent public access to the waterfront - a little piece of serenity that feels like a well-kept secret.

Nestled among townhouses, this park offers some truly stunning Potomac River vistas. Located at the end of Montgomery Street, it's easily reachable yet maintains that tucked-away feeling that makes it special.

What To Do

Good To Know

The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 8PM. If you enjoy fishing or simply watching boats navigate the Potomac (with the occasional airplane soaring overhead), you've found your spot.

Note that there are no public restrooms within the park boundaries. The closest facilities can be found in shops further up the street or in the Old Town waterfront area.
