Shipyard Park doesn't exist in isolation. Within a short 5-minute walk, you can explore neighboring waterfront spaces like Jones Point Park, Ford's Landing, Windmill Hill, and Roberdeaux Park.

While the park itself doesn't have designated parking, you can leave your car at the spacious lot at Jones Point Park just south of here. Head north along the waterfront trail, and eventually, you'll discover yourself in Old Town Alexandria with its charming shops and waterside eateries - though you might find yourself reluctant to leave this peaceful riverside retreat.
