Wander through Eastgate's mix of open meadows and wooded hideaways via the winding nature trails that crisscross the property. Whether you're in the mood for a brisk morning jog or a leisurely afternoon stroll to spot local wildlife, these paths deliver a refreshing dose of nature.

The ponds and water features add a soothing soundtrack to your visit, creating a little oasis away from city noise. Many who frequent the park describe walking these trails as an "earthy and peaceful" experience - and we find that's pretty spot on.

Recreational Facilities

Sports fans won't be disappointed with what Eastgate has to offer. The park has an athletic ball field suitable for various team sports, plus tennis courts that have increasingly become popular with the pickleball crowd.

Speaking of pickleball courts, they've attracted quite a dedicated community here. Most of the regulars play at a 3.5 skill level or above, so bring your A-game! Just keep in mind that these courts are shared spaces - tennis players and pickleballers take turns calling them home.

Adventure Attractions

What really makes Eastgate stand out from your average neighborhood park are its adrenaline-pumping offerings. The Bellevue Zip Tour and Challenge Course gives adventure seekers something to get excited about.

The zip line experience has been described as "ridiculously fun" by those brave enough to try it - not exactly something you'll find at every local park! The Challenge Course runs through the South Bellevue Community Center and offers some excellent team-building activities for groups looking to mix bonding with adventure.

Trails and Walking Paths

If casual walking is more your speed, you'll appreciate the short 1/4-mile loop trail that takes you under the zip lines and past the challenge course. Need more steps? There's another trail at the back of the park that winds through a secluded wooded section.

During certain times of year, you might stumble upon seasonal touches like a storybook trail with decorations that delight younger visitors. While the trails do have some ups and downs in elevation, they offer a gentle workout that most people find quite manageable.

Amenities

When hunger strikes, head to one of the park's picnic areas equipped with tables for a meal surrounded by greenery. When nature calls, portable toilets are available, however it's worth noting there aren't permanent restroom facilities.

The parking situation can be a bit tight during busy times - you might need to leave your car at the South Bellevue Community Center and walk to reach certain parts of the park. The grounds are well-kept and open daily from 6AM to 6:30PM, giving you plenty of daylight hours to enjoy all Eastgate has to offer.
