Dating back to 1973 and given a refresh in 1997, Garrison Creek Park in Kent has a rather interesting quirk - its sport courts are actually built on top of a water reservoir. The namesake Garrison Creek meanders through the grounds, adding a touch of natural serenity to your visit. If you're patient and observant, you might even spot some local wildlife along the creek, including the fascinating (if somewhat slimy) banana slugs that call this area home.
