Linda Heights Park

A Lesser-Known Park on West Hill

Tucked away in Kent's West Hill neighborhood, Linda Heights Park spans a modest 4 acres but packs plenty of charm. This little oasis has been serving the local community since 1971, when it was acquired with help from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office. What we love about this spot is how clean and well-kept it is - clearly the park maintenance team takes pride in their work.

Take a Stroll

A gravel walking trail traces the park's perimeter, excellent for those days when you need some fresh air and gentle exercise. Nothing fancy, just a nice path for clearing your head or chatting with a friend. Over the years, the park has benefited from some thoughtful improvements, including grading work and drainage fixes that keep the grounds from turning into a muddy mess when the Pacific Northwest rains come calling.

Kid-Friendly Fun

The recently renovated playground is definitely the park's crown jewel. The updated equipment offers neighborhood kids a modern place to burn energy and make memories. It's not massive, but it's certainly enough to keep little ones entertained during an afternoon outing.

Good to Know

This is very much a drop-in kind of place - you can't reserve it for events. As a neighborhood park, Linda Heights offers fewer bells and whistles than Kent's larger parks, but that's part of its quiet appeal. You can find a basketball court for shooting hoops, open grassy areas great for throwing a frisbee, and picnic areas where you can enjoy a casual lunch outdoors. It's a simple, unpretentious space that serves its community well.
