A Touch of China in Kent
Since 1993, Yangzhou Park has represented Kent's sister city relationship with Yangzhou, China, making it a peaceful little green haven with a story to tell. It's located in downtown Kent.
Back in the day, the two cities exchanged garden pavilions to celebrate their connection. Kent was gifted its pavilion in the year 1995.
Eastern Aesthetics Meet the Pacific Northwest
Walk through the park and you'll notice something different about this space. The design pulls inspiration from traditional Chinese gardens, blending Eastern influences with the familiar Northwest landscape. There's a certain calm that comes from the thoughtfully arranged decorative Chinese elements within the grounds.
