Located in Renton, Washington, Thomas Teasdale Park spans 10 peaceful acres of neighborhood greenery. Named after a former park board member, this green space has various amenities for both active recreation and relaxation.

At the heart of the park sits a renovated play structure connected to a picnic shelter by a smooth paved trail. The playground equipment has been completely updated and caters to kids of various ages, but heads up - it might be better suited for the older kiddos rather than tiny tots.

The park got a nice facelift in July 2021 when its basketball court was completely replaced. This wasn't just a random upgrade - it was actually identified by the Citizens Advisory Committee back in 2018 and included in the 2019 Parks Bond. The renovation included removing the old asphalt court and goal posts, redoing the sub-grading, and building a fresh asphalt court with proper sport court surfacing, new basketball posts and goals, plus a concrete mow strip around the perimeter.

Baseball and softball fields dot the landscape, alongside a generous open field well-suited for impromptu soccer games or tossing a frisbee. When nature calls, you'll find public restrooms available, and there are plenty of trash cans throughout (so there's really no excuse not to clean up after yourself!).

Paths and Accessibility

If you're in the mood for a casual stroll, the walking paths offer lovely short nature walks around the grounds. Dog owners, rejoice - your four-legged friends are welcome here, and there are pet waste bags available so you can be a responsible pet parent.

When to Visit

The park welcomes visitors daily from 8AM to 10PM year-round. Planning an event? The picnic shelter can be reserved between May 1 and September 30, with its covered patio area making a fantastic spot for birthday parties, family reunions, or casual get-togethers.

Thanks to its convenient location and diverse amenities, Thomas Teasdale has become a favorite for community gatherings and family outings. For a more tranquil experience, try visiting earlier in the day when things tend to be quieter and you can really soak in the peaceful surroundings.
