About Felida Community Park
Park Overview
Located in the Felida neighborhood of Vancouver, Washington, Felida Community Park spans 14 peaceful acres of recreational space. Established by Clark County in 2003, this clean, well-kept park offers a quiet retreat in a friendly residential area.
Sports Facilities
If you're looking to burn some energy, you'll find expansive green spaces, including two full-size soccer fields and one mini-mod soccer field. The Salmon Creek Soccer Club calls these fields home, and if you visit on Saturday mornings, you'll likely catch enthusiastic youth soccer matches in full swing.
Fancy shooting some hoops? The park's basketball court is good for a casual game or just practicing your jump shot.
ADPrivate Willamette Valley Wine Tour from Portland (All tasting fees included)
The Northern Willamette Valley is just an hour’s drive from the Portland metro area. This close proximity to Portland creates a perfect opportunity for a day of touring Oregon’s wine country with Sea to Summit Tours & Adventures, Portland, Oregon's original tour and adventure company.
Inclusive Playground
In 2023, Felida Community Park added an inclusive playground - a thoughtfully designed play area where children of all abilities can play together. What makes this playground special are its sensory elements and safety features specifically created with special needs children in mind.
You can't miss the playground's rainbow archway - a colorful entrance inspired by local kids' drawings when they were asked to imagine their dream play space. Parents of toddlers will appreciate the extra-spongy surface in the little ones' section, fantastic for those inevitable tumbles.
Main Playground Area
The main playground has equipment for all ages. Children can swing, slide, climb, and explore on the swings, slides, monkey bars, zip line, and balance beams. There's even an interactive music area where budding musicians can experiment with sounds and rhythms.
The main play structure features a ramp for easy access, making it friendly for toddlers and children with mobility challenges.
Pathways and Amenities
Paved pathways circle the park's perimeter, creating a wonderful loop for a morning jog, an afternoon walk, or teaching the little ones to ride bikes. The smooth surfaces are also great for strollers and dog walks.
The park has a covered picnic area with multiple tables - useful for birthday celebrations or casual get-togethers. Within the grounds, you'll discover additional benches and uncovered tables ideal for a quick snack or moment of rest.
ADPortland Japanese American History Walking Tour
Come join our tour to learn about the history of the Japanese American community in Portland and how it has helped shape the unique culture of our city! This 1.2-mile walking tour through Waterfront Park and parts of NW Portland’s historic Japantown explores the history of the Japanese immigration to the region, the unjust incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II, and present-day cultural ties between Portland and Japan.
Facilities
No need to cut your park visit short - Felida Community Park offers clean restrooms with multiple stalls that remain open year-round. Parking is plentiful, especially since the addition of an overflow lot that comes in handy during soccer games and busy weekends.
The park strikes a lovely balance between recreational areas and natural spaces, with shade trees offering relief on sunny days. Dog owners are welcome to bring their furry friends, but they'll need to keep them leashed across the park.
