Water Play Features

At the heart of Cypress Spray Park is a splash pad available from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Running daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, it's a great escape when summer temperatures start climbing.

With eight different water play elements, kids can explore and have fun. Just a heads up - the water can run pretty chilly, and there aren't any instructions posted about how to get the water features started.

Park Amenities

Beyond the splashing fun, Cypress Spray Park features a playground area specifically designed with the littlest visitors in mind. A thoughtful fence separates it from the splash pad, keeping the playground nice and dry. Colorful flowers border both areas, adding a touch of natural beauty to this local space.

For taking a break, you'll come across limited seating options - a few picnic tables with some offering shade from the sun. At just 0.66 acres, this special park keeps things simple but functional.

Facilities

When nature calls, there's a large portable toilet available, but cleanliness can vary from day to day. Note that there's no dedicated changing area for after-splash cleanup, so you might want to plan accordingly.

Community Support

Cypress Spray Park has an interesting origin story. More than half of the construction costs came from private funding, with contributions from the McClellan-Dodge Trust Fund, the Herfurth Foundation, the Madison Community Foundation, Jerome Frautschi, and the CUNA Mutual Foundation.

Location Benefits

Situated right next to Lincoln Elementary School, the park couldn't be more convenient for local families and school children. Its proximity to Centro Hispano and the Villager Mall also makes it an easily accessible spot for the whole neighborhood to enjoy.
