About Thut Park
Park Overview
Thut Park spreads across a cozy 7.19 acres in the Nana Lane area of Madison, Wisconsin. This little neighborhood retreat provides a lovely outdoor escape for locals and anyone passing through the area.
Recreational Facilities
Hoop dreams come alive at the park's basketball court with its asphalt surface. While it doesn't have lighting for night games, it's excellent for daytime shootarounds and pickup games. If basketball isn't your thing, the multipurpose field has you covered - regardless of whether you're organizing a casual soccer match, tossing a frisbee with friends, or just need some open space to run around.

Got kids in tow? The playground area offers a space where the little ones can climb, slide, and burn off that seemingly endless energy while you take a well-deserved breather.
Amenities
When you need a break from the sun, head over to the picnic shelter conveniently located near the playground and basketball court. It's an ideal spot to enjoy a packed lunch or simply sit back and watch the park activity unfold around you.
You can find drinking water available to keep everyone hydrated, but note that the park doesn't have restroom facilities, so plan accordingly for longer visits.
Rules and Information
Just a heads up - Thut Park is an alcohol-free zone according to Madison General Ordinance 8.24. If you're planning a special event that calls for some adult beverages, you can request an alcohol permit through the Parks Administrative Office.
