Located on Madison's southwest side, this 5.77-acre green space offers a fantastic balance of open areas and recreational spots. The multipurpose field gives you plenty of room to toss a frisbee, kick a soccer ball, or simply spread out a blanket and enjoy the outdoors.

If you've got kids in tow, the playground provides a fun spot for the little ones to burn off energy. Basketball enthusiasts can enjoy some casual shots or a pickup game at the single-hoop court - nothing fancy, but fantastic for practicing your jumper or playing a relaxed game of HORSE.

While Waltham Park doesn't feature some of the amenities you might find at Madison's larger parks (no restrooms or drinking fountains here), it is a valuable green oasis for the neighborhood. Sometimes the simple pleasures of a local park are exactly what you need.
