Indian Hills Park

Local Green Getaway

One of Indian Hills Park's handiest features is its connection to the University Avenue multi-use trail, making it easy to pop in during a bike ride or casual stroll through Madison's west side. The park itself is a cozy 2.57-acre green space along Flambeau Road, offering residents a convenient spot to stretch their legs and enjoy some outdoor time.

Play and Leisure Space

Kids will be thrilled with the newly updated playground that arrived in 2023. The modern equipment includes a sturdy jungle gym and swing set that's particularly well-suited for children 6 and up. The playground offers a good balance between fun and safety.

Adults haven't been forgotten either - comfortable benches are scattered throughout, well-suited for relaxing with a book or keeping an eye on little ones as they play. The generous open field gives everyone room to spread out, toss a frisbee, or let your four-legged friend (on leash, of course) burn off some energy.

Natural Elements

A rain garden adds a touch of natural beauty to the landscape while also serving an environmental purpose.

Neighborhood Asset

While it might not be the largest park in Madison's impressive collection of green spaces, Indian Hills holds its own as an important community resource. It's part of the city's broader commitment to ensuring all residents have access to nature close to home.

Being nestled in a residential area means it primarily serves those living nearby. You won't find much parking here, but that's by design - this is truly a neighborhood park meant for those within walking distance. It's a nice neighborhood green space that adds to the area's character.
