About Clas Park
A Bit of History
What we now know as Clas Park was once called Courthouse Square, before being renamed to honor Alfred C. Clas - one of Milwaukee's influential architects who left his mark on the city with numerous significant buildings during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Where You'll Find It
Tucked away on W. Wells Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Clas Park is a modest urban green space spanning 1.0 acre. You'll come across it nestled in downtown Milwaukee's heart, right beside the impressive Milwaukee County Courthouse.
How It Serves the Community
This little oasis offers courthouse employees, visitors, and locals a welcome breath of fresh air amid the downtown hustle. Its central location makes it fantastic for quick breaks, outdoor lunches, or simply a moment of calm in the middle of the city. Despite its small size, it fulfills an important role as one of downtown's accessible green spaces.
