Bonsall Park

Two Distinct Sections

Bonsall Park is a 10-acre public recreational area situated at the corner of Bethany Home Road and 59th Avenue. The park is divided into two sections: Bonsall Park North and Bonsall Park South, each offering distinct features and amenities.

Bonsall Park North is known for its athletic facilities and is easily identifiable by the F-100D Super Sabre Air Force jet prominently displayed as a landmark in the center of the park. This section caters to sports enthusiasts with its variety of courts and play areas.

Fishing Lake

Bonsall Park South is notable for its fishing lake, providing a serene environment for anglers and nature lovers. The lake spans approximately 2 acres with a maximum depth of 10 feet, offering opportunities for fishing various species including catfish, trout, bass, sunfish, and white amur.

Rich History

The park has been a gathering place for Glendale residents for over 40 years, previously known as "chicken park." It offers a mix of recreational facilities and natural spaces, making it suitable for various outdoor activities and community events.
