Halcyon Commons is a small community-designed park located in Berkeley, California. Originally a 28-space parking lot, this 0.2-acre (8,710 sq. ft.) green space was transformed through a grassroots effort led by the Halcyon Neighborhood Association in the early 1990s.
The park's development was a collaborative effort between local residents, businesses, and the City of Berkeley, showcasing the power of community initiative.
