TeWinkle Park

History and Background

Situated in Costa Mesa, California, TeWinkle Park covers 49 acres of recreational space. The park opened its gates to the public on January 31, 1965, and bears the name of Charles TeWinkle, Costa Mesa's first mayor when the city incorporated in 1953.

Natural Features

At the heart of the park lies a charming lake with a waterfall and fountain displays that create a peaceful atmosphere. This little oasis is home to a variety of waterfowl - you'll likely spot ducks and geese paddling around or waddling through the grass during your visit.

Kids gravitate toward Angels Playground, a modern play space with all the essentials for childhood adventures. You'll find bridges, tunnels, and slides aplenty, all set on a safety-conscious rubber surface. Little ones particularly enjoy the sandbox area and swings.

Many visitors also enjoy walking their leashed dogs along the park's extensive network of paths.
