Rolling Hills Park is a 9.46-acre public park located on E Bastanchury Road in Fullerton, California. Established in 1979, this park lives up to its name with its hilly terrain, offering visitors a scenic environment for various outdoor activities.
The park features a playground area with equipment suitable for children aged 5-12 years old. The main play structure encourages climbing and exploring, with a long tunnel slide and a bendy slide situated on the hillside. For younger children, there is a separate structure designed for ages 2-5, which includes slides and tunnels. The playground surface is made of bark, and shade sails provide some relief from the sun.
Rolling Hills Park underwent renovations between 2018 and 2021, during which new playground equipment and a fitness course were added. The fitness course, consisting of several stations, is located along the sidewalk that loops around the park. This addition provides adults with exercise opportunities while visiting the park.
The park's layout includes picnic areas with tables and benches scattered throughout the hills, making it an ideal spot for family outings or casual gatherings. Barbecue pits are also available for visitors who wish to grill. The abundance of trees surrounding the park provides ample shade, creating a comfortable environment even on hot days.
For sports enthusiasts, Rolling Hills Park offers a 9-hole disc golf course with grass tees and DISCatcher Pro targets. This course, established in 2021, provides a unique recreational option within the park's boundaries. Additionally, there is an open grass area suitable for various activities.
Accessibility and convenience have been improved with the addition of a new parking lot off Bastanchury Road, featuring 16 regular spaces and 2 accessible spaces. The park also includes modern amenities such as restroom facilities and a water bottle refill station.
At the back west end of the park, stairs lead to additional recreational facilities, including a baseball diamond and basketball courts. These areas are part of the adjacent Rolling Hills School Park, which seamlessly connects to Rolling Hills Park, expanding the available space and activities for visitors.
