About the Location

Park Overview

Nestled in Centennial, Colorado, Fox Hill Park spans 40 acres of community space that strikes an excellent balance between recreational areas and natural landscapes. If you're looking for a peaceful outdoor retreat, this park offers a tranquil atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Trails and Outdoor Space

One of the park's highlights is its 0.542-mile paved walking trail - the Fox Hill Trail. It's not just a standalone path; it conveniently connects to the West Tollgate Trail in the southeast corner, opening up miles of additional routes for your morning jog or evening stroll.

Within the park, you can find open grassy areas that are excellent for throwing a frisbee, having an impromptu soccer match, or letting your four-legged friend run around. The mature trees scattered across the landscape not only provide welcome shade on hot days but also add to the park's natural charm.

Recreational Facilities

If you're visiting with kids, they'll enjoy the playground designed specifically for children ages 2-12. Basketball enthusiasts can shoot some hoops at the full-sized outdoor basketball court - great for casual play or organizing a friendly game with neighbors.

The park's picnic shelter makes a convenient spot for family gatherings or a sheltered lunch break when the Colorado sun is shining bright.

Natural Features

What makes Fox Hill special is how it preserves some of the area's native vegetation, creating pockets of natural Colorado landscape within the park. Keep an eye out for the beautiful hidden creek that meanders through the grounds - it's a serene spot that adds a touch of wilderness to your visit.

Ongoing Improvements

Exciting changes are happening at Fox Hill Park in 2024. The renovation plans include two new playground areas with safety surfacing - one for the little ones (ages 2-5) and another for older children (ages 5-12). You can also look forward to new basketball hoops, a new pavilion complete with picnic tables and updated lighting, and improved accessibility with new concrete pathways. The park is also expanding its trail network to enhance connectivity, making it even easier to explore all this lovely space has to offer.
