If you're into racket sports, you can find tennis and pickleball courts with permanent lines waiting for your next match. Just remember to bring your own pickleball nets since they're not provided, and be aware that the courts don't have screens around them.

Playground and Fitness

The children's playground, freshly installed in August 2023, offers plenty of fun for little ones. Little ones can burn off energy on the colorful equipment featuring monkey bars, slides, climbing nets, swings, and more. There are separate areas designed specifically for bigger kids and toddlers, with the large purple slide being particularly eye-catching.

Looking to get your workout in? Circle the park on the paved trails or check out the ten-station fitness center with its newer equipment. It functions as a convenient outdoor gym.

Amenities and Considerations

Planning a get-together? The park's picnic areas come equipped with grills and a pavilion housing several tables - good for family lunches or casual meetups.

Note that you won't find restrooms or water fountains here, so it's worth planning ahead, especially if you're bringing kids along.

The parking lot remains unpaved, which can mean dealing with some potholes after a good Florida rainstorm - nothing major, but something to be aware of.

Outdoor Enjoyment

Soccer enthusiasts can make use of the practice soccer fields, a planned addition that complements the park's existing amenities.

There's also plenty of open grassy space great for tossing a frisbee, walking your leashed pup, or simply spreading out a blanket and enjoying the outdoors.

History and Location

The park has an interesting backstory - originally purchased by the Isle of Palms Community Association back in February 1967, the land was later donated to the City of Jacksonville in 1996.
