Dudley Park

History and Location

Nestled at the meeting point of Trail Creek and the North Oconee River, Dudley Park offers 32 acres of green tranquility just a short stroll from downtown Athens and the University of Georgia campus.

The park, dedicated in 1953, bears the name of Alonzo Gordon Dudley, Athens' mayor from 1926-1935 and again from 1938-1939. It represents a piece of Athens' history that continues to evolve while maintaining connections to the city's past.
