Welcome All Park
About Welcome All Park
Recreation for Everyone
Located in South Fulton, Georgia, Welcome All Park is an important community space. This public space offers Atlanta-area residents of all ages places to play, exercise, and connect with neighbors.
The park offers an excellent blend of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy. The crown jewel might just be the natatorium with its impressive 75-foot lap pool featuring seven lanes - well-suited for serious swimmers looking to get their laps in.
If you're more into casual splashing, the splash pool with its fun sliding board offers a more relaxed aquatic experience. The pool facilities are notably clean and well-maintained, which isn't always the case at public pools.
Indoor Fitness & Fun
When the weather isn't cooperating, you can head to the Welcome All Multipurpose Facility. The indoor track provides a peaceful place to walk or jog without battling Georgia's summer heat or unexpected rain showers. One of the nice things about this track? It rarely gets overcrowded, so you can maintain your pace without constantly navigating around others.
The weight room offers various equipment for strength training, although some machines have been around for a while. If group fitness is more your style, check out the popular line dancing sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm - a fun way to get moving while meeting others from the community.
Outdoor Spaces
Step outside and you'll find plenty of well-maintained green space to enjoy. The playground is especially suited for older kids, while picnic tables and reservable pavilions make this an ideal spot for family gatherings or birthday celebrations.
Bring your four-legged friend along too - the park is dog-friendly and offers plenty of space to walk. And yes, there are clean restrooms available within the grounds (always good to know when planning a longer visit).
Fresh & Renewed
After closing in 2019, Welcome All Park reopened on December 20, 2024, following significant renovations. The upgrades weren't just cosmetic - outdated structures, tiles, and the pool deck were replaced, and the lighting got a modern update.
The renovation included practical improvements like new energy-efficient pumps, filters, and plumbing systems. Accessibility was also prioritized with the addition of ADA-compliant pool lifts and accessible pathways around the pool area.
Programs for All Ages
The park offers something for everyone through its year-round programming. You can sign up for swim lessons or water aerobics classes if you want to make the most of the pools.
Kids and teens can participate in youth sports including basketball, football, and cheerleading. Parents looking for structured activities will appreciate the after-school programs and summer and spring break camps that keep younger community members engaged and active.
Community Hub
Beyond recreation, Welcome All Park serves multiple community functions. The multipurpose facility hosts community meetings and local government sessions for South Fulton.
During election season, the park transforms into an early voting location, making civic participation more accessible for area residents. These varied uses help the park fulfill different community needs - from recreation to civic engagement.
