Pendleton King Park is a 64-acre public park located in the heart of Augusta, Georgia. The park was originally donated by the King family and designated as a bird sanctuary.
It offers a diverse landscape featuring pine forests, sand ridges, and marshes, providing a habitat for various bird species and other wildlife. The park's topography is quite varied, with elevation changes of over 100 feet throughout its expanse.
Flora and Gardens

Water Features
Lake Elizabeth, a small spring-fed lake named after Pendleton King's mother, is home to ducks and turtles. The park also contains wetlands fed by a series of springs, which historically contributed to Augusta's early drinking water supply.
Recreational Amenities
For recreation, the park offers an 18-hole disc golf course that winds through both open and wooded areas. There are nature trails for walking and cycling, as well as cross-country trails.
