Historic Origins
Lakeview Park spans over 44 acres and holds the distinction of being Nampa's oldest park. Its history dates back to 1888 when Orson F. Persons homesteaded the land. Originally, the park featured a man-made lake named Lake Ethel, which was constructed to store irrigation water from Mason Creek and was used for swimming and fishing.
