Historic Origins

Maple Grove Park, commonly referred to as Lakeview Park, is the oldest and one of the most picturesque parks in Nampa, Idaho. Spanning over 44 acres, the park is noted for its scenic beauty, mature trees, and a range of amenities that cater to visitors of all ages.

Historically, the land was homesteaded by Orson F. Persons in 1888, and it once featured a man-made lake called Lake Ethel. This lake was originally constructed to store irrigation water but later became a popular site for swimming and fishing.
