It's pretty amazing how quickly you can feel completely removed from urban life here, even though you're still technically in Wichita.

Trail System

The paved trails are perfect if you're pushing a stroller or need a more accessible route, while the dirt paths offer that more immersive, shoes-might-get-muddy nature experience.

If you're bringing your horse along, head to Plumlee Trail and the dedicated equestrian areas, complete with convenient horse trailer parking and watering stations. Feel like going further? The trails connect to the Prairie Sunset Trail and Air Capital Memorial Park, so you can really extend your adventure.

Just a heads-up: the trail markings could be better, which might leave you scratching your head if it's your first visit. And during spring and summer, you'll definitely want to apply tick repellent before hitting those unpaved trails - trust us on this one.
