Carondelet Lions Park

History and Establishment

Located in the Patch Neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, Carondelet Lions Park has been a community fixture since 1929. This cozy 1.7-acre green space sits snugly between Michigan, Minnesota, Davis, and Poepping streets.

The park has an interesting backstory - the land was originally owned by Bryan Mullanphy, who generously left the property to the City of Saint Louis in his will. The Lions Club of Carondelet championed improvements to transform it into the park we know today.

Features and Amenities

The park features a fully enclosed design - a 4-foot fence with gated entries wraps around the entire area, creating a secure environment. Inside, you'll find a pleasant walking path circling a central grassy area, making it perfect if you're looking to let your four-legged friend burn off some energy.

Dog parents will appreciate the thoughtful pet waste station with bags and a small trash can. The park has received upgrades in recent years that have refreshed the space.

Community Space

Across the grounds, you'll notice new trash cans and lighting fixtures that help keep the park clean and usable even as daylight fades. The well-maintained atmosphere makes it a welcoming little retreat in the neighborhood.

While it's not huge, the park offers just enough space and amenities for a pleasant outdoor experience. Today, Carondelet Lions Park is a local spot where neighbors spend time with each other and their pets.
