History and Establishment
Established in 1929, Carondelet Lions Park is a 1.7-acre city park located in the Patch Neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The park is situated between Michigan, Minnesota, Davis, and Poepping streets.
The land was originally owned by Bryan Mullanphy, who bequeathed the property to the City of Saint Louis in his will. The park's development was initiated by the Lions Club of Carondelet, which recognized its potential and prompted improvements to the premises.
Features and Amenities
One of the park's notable features is its fully enclosed area, surrounded by a 4-foot fence with gated entries. This enclosure includes a walking path and a central grassy expanse, making it an ideal location for dog owners to exercise and play with their pets.
To accommodate furry visitors, the park provides a pet waste station equipped with bags and a small trash can. Recent investments have enhanced the park's amenities and overall appearance.
