About the Location
Play & Recreation Spaces
Spread across three acres of this Reno park, you can find a multi-purpose turf area that's great for everything from impromptu frisbee games to picnics with friends. If you've got little ones in tow, there's a playground with modern equipment for different age groups - just keep in mind it's on the smaller side, so it might get busy on beautiful weekend afternoons.
The park has a small outdoor amphitheater that can be a nice spot for community gatherings or simply sitting with a good book.
Trails Worth Exploring
For those who enjoy nature, Arrowcreek connects to the Lower Thomas Creek Trail, offering a wonderful way to stretch your legs and soak in some nature. Feeling more adventurous? Take on the Upper Thomas Creek Trail - a 2.5-mile trek with a 700-foot elevation gain that rewards your effort with even more spectacular views.
For something more casual, try the small trail circling the park itself. Just a heads-up: some trail sections start out pretty narrow, so you might want to pack some bug spray during the buggier months.
The park's elevated position offers nice views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Different seasons offer changing scenery - fall foliage colors and spring wildflowers are particularly noteworthy.
Amenities to Note
Keep in mind there aren't permanent restrooms here, but you will find a portable restroom when nature calls.
