Masten Park

Recreation Facilities

Masten Park is home to a variety of sports facilities that'll keep you active, including tennis courts, basketball courts, and a swimming pool. If you're looking to shoot some hoops or cool off with a swim, you'll find options here.

Next to the pool, there's a splash pad that's perfect for the little ones when the temperature rises. The park also features a baseball field where you can catch an impromptu game with friends or watch organized community matches - a true summer staple in this Buffalo neighborhood.

Trails and Open Spaces

A good trail loops around the park, offering a smooth, paved path for your morning jog, evening stroll, or bike ride. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done if you're looking to get some steps in.

There's plenty of grassy areas within the park that are fantastic for spreading out a blanket, tossing a frisbee, or just lounging with a good book. These open spaces have a casual, come-as-you-are vibe that makes impromptu picnics or meetups easy to pull off.

Playground and Family Amenities

The park includes a cozy playground that's just the right size for younger kids. Parents, you'll appreciate the benches placed nearby where you can take a load off while keeping an eye on your little adventurers.

Masten Park definitely has a family-friendly atmosphere, with spaces that work for all ages. Just a heads up - the restroom facilities are port-a-potties, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

Location and Environment

You'll come across Masten Park nestled in the east side of Buffalo (sometimes called East Buffalo), in the neighborhood that shares its name. It's a green oasis amid the urban landscape of the city.

The park offers a refreshing bit of nature and open sky - nothing extravagant, but a welcome respite from city streets. It's the kind of place where you can take a deep breath, feel the grass under your feet, and momentarily forget you're in the middle of Buffalo.
