Sports Facilities

The park features two artificial turf fields, including a championship field and a multipurpose field. The championship field, measuring 360 feet by 225 feet, is lined for both soccer and flag football and is equipped with field lights.

This field is surrounded by a fence and includes player benches and soccer goals. Both turf fields are available for use year-round, making them suitable for various sports events and community activities.

Additional Recreation Areas

In addition to the turf fields, C. M. Herndon Park contains two youth baseball fields and two multipurpose grass practice fields. The park also provides access to trails and greenways, allowing visitors to enjoy nature walks and outdoor exercise.

Family-Friendly Amenities

For families and casual visitors, the park offers a playground suitable for children aged 2-12, as well as standard swings. Picnic areas are available, including a rentable picnic shelter and tables, making it an ideal spot for outdoor gatherings and community events.
