What really makes this park special are the swings and benches scattered throughout. There's something oddly therapeutic about sitting on one of the swinging benches, gently rocking while watching the rivers flow by or taking a breather during your bike ride.

If you're looking for a bit of magic, time your visit for sunset. The way the light plays off the city skyline as the sun dips below the horizon is worth the trip alone. The RiverScape Fountains come to life five minutes before each hour. At night, they're illuminated with colorful lights that create a beautiful scene.

Deeds Point connects to several walking and biking trails that stretch along the riverfront, making it perfect if you're looking to get some steps in or cycle through some lovely scenery. The pedestrian bridge over the Mad River not only gets you from point A to point B but offers its own set of impressive views.

During warmer months, the park occasionally hosts community events like yoga sessions under the pavilion and various cultural festivals. Summer also brings out the kayakers, with many people enjoying the unique perspective of seeing the park and city from the water.

The Practical Stuff

You'll come across clean, well-maintained restrooms on site when nature calls. There's also a pavilion area that provides some welcome shade on hot days and shelter for both organized activities and impromptu gatherings.
