One of the first things you'll notice here are the towering Douglas firs and majestic old oak trees that create a natural canopy around the grounds. These gentle giants provide welcome shade on sunny days and give the park its distinctive character. Between these leafy sentinels, you'll find open grassy spaces fantastic for spreading out a blanket, tossing a frisbee, or simply watching the world go by.

Feeling active? The Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center (SHARC) offers both indoor and outdoor swimming options. Inside, you'll discover a main pool, wading area for the little ones, a relaxing spa, and a dry sauna to melt away stress.

During those warm summer months, the outdoor pool beckons with diving boards for the more adventurous. Beyond just swimming, the center offers various fitness programs and classes suited for people of all ages and ability levels.
